Information about the UK & Ireland Parliamentary reception 22 March 2017
The event will take place on Wednesday 22nd March 2017 from 12.30-14.30 in the Cholmondeley Room.
Access is via Black Rod's Garden Entrance.
Access is by invitation only, so please ensure all guests have an invitation and bring it with them to ensure a smooth passage through security. Palace security requires a final attendance list 24 hours in advance of the event so please give us plenty of notice if you would like extra invitations or if someone cannot attend.

The team is looking forward to welcoming contenders to the 12th anniversary reception in Parliament on Wednesday 22nd March 2017. At that reception the overall British winners in our five categories will declared.
The reception will also be attended by many parliamentarians - all Champions' MPs have been invited to attend, and many members of the House of Lords also enjoy lending their support to rural business on the day.
Some supplementary information about the reception:
The reception will run from 12.30-2.30pm. Please leave at least 20 minutes extra to clear security on arrival.
The dress code is lounge suits/ equivalent for ladies
The reception will be held in the Cholmondeley Room which is located at the terrace of the House of Lords.
Access to Parliament is through Black Rod's Garden Entrance at the Western end of the Palace of Westminster (the opposite end of the Palace to Big Ben and Westminster Underground station.) The entrance is marked "11" on this map. Westminster underground station is on the Jubilee and District & Circle lines.
When you arrive at the Cholmondeley Room, which is well signposted, you will be greeted by CA staff who will have a badge ready for you.
The running order of the event is as follows:
12.30 - Reception begins. Guests please check in at the reception desk at the entrance to the Cholmondeley Room and receive your name badge. Drinks and canapés will be served.
13.00 - The prize-giving will be opened with a few words of welcome from Lord Mancroft, the reception's sponsor.
13.00- 13.30 - Countryside Alliance Chief Executive, Tim Bonner, will announce the overall British Champions in five categories (Local Food, Village Shop/ Post Office, Butcher, Farm Enterprise and Tourism Enterprise).
The awards will be presented by members of the judging panel and supportive Parliamentarians.
The fourth annual Clarissa Dickson Wright Award will be presented in memory of our late, great friend and Awards judge, the cook and author Clarissa Dickson Wright, who died in March 2014. Clarissa's Award was inaugurated with her blessing and takes forward her legacy of slow food, artisan produce, education and campaigning for British producers.
